Requirements for Compound Pharmacy Technician:
*This is an in-person role. Candidates must reside in the greater Austin area.*
- Must have active registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Technician or Trainee (required)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Efficient data entry skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy and medical terminology
- At least six months pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Flexible schedule, available to work variable shifts including Saturdays
- Able to lift up to 25+lbs
- Able to stand for 8 hours
Compensation and Benefits for Compound Pharmacy Technician:
- $17.00–$22.00/hour (based on certification level and relevant experience)

Responsibilities for Compound Pharmacy Technician:
- Compound medications per SOP and regulatory compliance standards
- Receive written and electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate
- Enter and maintain prescription data using pharmacy software system
- Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions
- Contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information and initiate refill requests
- Resolution of prescription insurance claims
- Assist the pharmacist with packaging medications and affixing proper labels
- Maintain the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed
