Pharmacy Technician (1 Inpatient, 1 Outpatient Based) - Travel

We are seeking Pharmacy Technicians<\/b> to support the inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations at the VA Health Care System<\/b>. This role requires assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications, managing inventory, processing prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with VA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
  <\/li>
• Process inpatient and outpatient prescription orders following VA protocols.
  <\/li>
• Manage medication inventory, including stocking, ordering, and verifying expiration dates.
  <\/li>
• Operate pharmacy automation systems and electronic medical records (VISTA/CPRS).
  <\/li>
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for controlled substances.
  <\/li>
• Provide medication education and support to patients under pharmacist supervision.
  <\/li>
• Comply with all VA regulations and safety protocols.

  Compensation Details:<\/b>

  • Hourly Pay Rate (Taxable):<\/b> $19.92/hour
    <\/li>
  • Overtime Pay Rate (Taxable):<\/b> $29.88/hour
    <\/li>
  • Weekly Fringe Benefits (Non -Taxable):<\/b> $197.20 ($4.93/hour)

  • Weekly Travel Stipends (Non -Taxable for Eligible Travelers):<\/b> Up to $805.00

    Requirements<\/h3>

    • Licensure/Certification:<\/b>
      • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with an active license.
        <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • Experience:<\/b>
        • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience (VA experience preferred).
          <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • Technical Proficiency:<\/b>
          • Familiarity with VISTA/CPRS<\/b> electronic medical records.
            <\/li>
          • Experience working in an inpatient<\/b> or outpatient<\/b> pharmacy setting.
            <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
          • Other Requirements:<\/b>
            • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder.

              Schedule:<\/b>
              <\/h3>

              • 40 -hour workweek<\/b> with 8 -hour shifts<\/b>, including day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday rotations<\/b> as needed.
