Pharmacy Technician – 2nd Shift Summary & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations in a closed-door pharmacy setting. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, this position is responsible for filling prescriptions, preparing IV medications, prepackaging medications, and assisting with prescription processing and dispensing.
Job Responsibilities
Pharmacy Technician – 2nd Shift Responsibilities include:
- Filling prescriptions and preparing IV medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Entering prescription and billing information into the computer system to facilitate processing and reimbursement.
- Prepackaging medications according to pharmacy standards and government regulations.
- Assisting pharmacists with final prescription checks and medication identification.
- Packaging medications following pharmacist approval and coordinating timely deliveries.
- Receiving, organizing, and rotating medications and pharmacy supplies.
- Maintaining inventory records, including lot numbers and expiration dates.
- Assisting with physical inventory counts.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring pharmacy equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician – 2nd Shift Qualifications & Skills
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
- Knowledge of prescription processing and medication preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
- Must be available to work a rotating second-shift schedule that changes every two weeks.
- Must have availability seven days per week.
- Must be able to work either 2:00 PM–10:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.
- Must be available to work two holidays per year.
- Pay Rate: $25.01/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
