Responsibilities & Duties
To accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
Prepare and dispense prescription medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Count pills, measure liquid medications, label containers, and provide instructions for proper medication use.
Serve as a liaison between the public and pharmacists, facilitating consultations and providing medication-related recommendations.
Assist in managing inventory and maintaining pharmacy records.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns effectively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Degree or certification in pharmacy technology preferred.
Must meet the requirements for Alabama Pharmacy Technician registration.
Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
