Pharmacy Technician

Pride Health is hiring an experienced Pharmacy Technician - Oncology Services for a healthcare facility in Gold Beach, OR 97444. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy technician with hospital pharmacy and hazardous drug compounding experience to support oncology pharmacy operations.

Position Details:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Oncology Services

Location: Gold Beach, OR 97444

Duration: 13 Weeks contract

Schedule: Monday-Friday/ 8-hour day shifts with variable weekend on-call coverage

Local Pay range: $48 - $52/ Hour

Travel Gross Pay: $2200 - $2300/ weekly for 40 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Support oncology pharmacy operations and chemotherapy treatment workflows.
• Prepare and handle hazardous medications in accordance with USP <800> standards.
• Assist with chemotherapy and other hazardous drug compounding.
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and the oncology care team.
• Follow medication safety, quality, and regulatory compliance procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license preferred; candidates without a license in hand may still be considered.
• Recent hospital and/or clinical pharmacy experience required.
• Experience with USP <800> hazardous drug handling and compounding required.
• Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting.
• Hospital-based oncology pharmacy experience.
• Experience compounding chemotherapy and other hazardous medications.
• Oncology infusion center experience.
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems, EHRs, and compounding software.
