Pharmacy Technician (Long-Term Care) | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Greensburg, PA 15601 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $25+/hr – based on shift
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Rotating schedule (days change every 2 weeks) | Must be available 7 days/week | Every other weekend | 2 holidays per year | Shift options:
- Shift Option 1 (2nd shift): 3:00 PM–11:00 PM and/or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Shift Option 2: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM + every other weekend 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Pharmacy Technician (Long-Term Care) | Summary and Highlights:
The Pharmacy Technician (Long-Term Care) will support prescription fulfillment and day-to-day pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This role assists with prescription processing, medication preparation/packaging, inventory control, and documentation to help ensure accurate, timely service.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Job Responsibilities
Pharmacy Technician (Long-Term Care) | Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions and assist with IV preparation under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Enter prescription and billing information into computer systems to support processing and reimbursement
- Prepackage medications for dispensing according to pharmacy standards and government regulations
- Assist with preparing filled prescriptions for pharmacist final review and package medications post-review
- Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
- Support inventory best practices (receive/rotate stock; track lot numbers and expiration dates; assist with physical inventory)
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment; support equipment calibration/safety/cleanliness checks

Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician (Long-Term Care) | Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- License: Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license required
- Previous pharmacy tech experience
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
- Ability to work rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays as required
- Basic computer/data entry skills and strong attention to detail
