Pharmacy Technician – Miami, FL
A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Pharmacy Technician II in Miami, FL! This position supports specialty pharmacy operations for a leading healthcare organization and offers an opportunity to gain experience in prescription processing, insurance verification, and patient support.
Pharmacy Technician Compensation
Pay Rate: $15.94 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
Location: 7205 Corporate Center Drive, Suite 104, Miami, FL 33126
Work Setting: Fully onsite
Parking: Free onsite parking
Nights/Weekends: Not required
Patient-Facing: Yes

Job Responsibilities
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Accurately enter prescription orders and process prescription information.
- Calculate dosages and assign prescription directions as prescribed.
- Interpret prescription requirements and supporting documentation.
- Verify insurance benefits, funding sources, and medication coverage.
- Contact insurance companies to resolve coverage issues.
- Communicate with patients and providers to resolve prescription-related concerns.
- Research patient assistance programs and financial support options.
- Perform pharmacy technician duties permitted by state regulations and certification status.
- Assist walk-in patients and provide customer service.
- Fill, package, and ship prescription medication orders as needed.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, and medication distribution.
- Operate the cash register and process payments as needed.
- Conduct refill reminders and medication adherence calls.

Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- Verifiable high school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills when working with patients, providers, insurance companies, and pharmacy staff.
- Ability to work onsite in Miami, FL, Monday through Friday.
- Ability to work the scheduled shift of 10:30 AM–7:00 PM.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience.
- Experience with prescription data entry and processing.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and prescription coverage.
- Experience working with multiple pharmacy systems.
- Background in specialty pharmacy operations or patient assistance programs.
