Pharmacy Technician
Location: Tyndall Air Force Base, FLPosition Type: Full-TimeCompensation: $40,000–$50,000 annuallyWork Schedule: TBD based on clinic needs
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician provides support to licensed pharmacists at Tyndall Air Force Base, ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications to eligible beneficiaries. This role supports daily pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescription orders under pharmacist supervision
- Enter and maintain prescription information in electronic medical records
- Operate pharmacy systems and automated dispensing equipment
- Manage medication inventory, storage, and expiration monitoring
- Support daily outpatient pharmacy operations
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and pharmacy procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Active CPhT (PTCB) or ExCPT (NHA) certification
- Minimum 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a clinical, hospital, or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, medications, and dispensing systems
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Conditions of Employment
- Ability to pass federal background screening and credentialing
- Eligible to work on a federal contract
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Tyndall Air Force Base
Work Environment
Clinical healthcare setting within a Military Treatment Facility. Position may require extended periods of standing, medication handling, and working in a fast-paced environment.
