As a Contract Pharmacy Technician, you will support pharmacy operations by assisting with medication preparation, patient support, and maintaining accurate records while working in a flexible, independent capacity.

What You’ll Do & Bring

As a Contract Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations and ensure accurate medication processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter patient information into pharmacy systems accurately and efficiently
  • Count, measure, label, and prepare medications for dispensing
  • Assist with maintaining records related to prescription volume and transactions
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Assist patients by answering questions within scope and collecting payments
  • Contact prescribers or insurance providers to obtain authorizations when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all cash handling and loss prevention procedures
  • Support pharmacy inventory processes and equipment maintenance
  • Assist pharmacists with tasks that do not require clinical judgment
  • Monitor and report safety concerns, incidents, or irregularities
  • Promote positive customer service and teamwork across the pharmacy
  • Perform additional duties within scope of contract services

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician credential
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Professionalism and accountability in a contract-based role
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy systems and office equipment

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
  • Previous retail or pharmacy experience
  • Willingness to travel between MyCHN pharmacy locations
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
