Location: Worcester, MA
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Mon–Thur 8AM – 6:45PM, Fri 8AM – 4:45PM, Sat 8:20AM – 12PM
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr – $21.00/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist I to join our Patient Services team in Worcester, MA. This role serves as the face of the organization by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing. The ideal candidate will possess strong phlebotomy skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

• Prepare and process specimens accurately according to established protocols and procedures.

• Verify patient information and ensure proper specimen labeling and documentation.

• Maintain accurate records and required documentation for clinical and forensic specimen collection.

• Create a professional, welcoming, and patient-focused environment while explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.

• Perform daily activities accurately and within established timelines under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Support process excellence initiatives and adhere to company policies and procedures.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.

• Strong specimen collection, processing, and data entry skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Proficiency with keyboarding and data entry.

• Ability to provide accurate, quality, and error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
