Job Title: Phlebotomist II Job Location: Atlanta, GA 30308 Job Duration: 4 Months of contract Shift: Monday–Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Pay range: $21.69 - 23.25/hr. on W2 Job Summary The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization with professionalism and care. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with established protocols. The PSR II builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and delivering skilled, compassionate service. This position emphasizes process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information, while demonstrating leadership behaviors and a strong commitment to organizational values. Assignments may include working in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs. Key Responsibilities Perform daily activities accurately and within established timelines under the direction of a supervisor Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following standard procedures Verify patient identity and demographic information prior to specimen collection Ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient and obtain required confirmations Maintain accurate records and documentation Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive organizational image Demonstrate confidentiality and sensitivity when handling patient information Adapt to changing workflows and support process improvements Job Requirements Ability to deliver accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice Strong decision-making skills and sound judgment based on established procedures Effective communication skills with patients, peers, and supervisors Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and professional conduct Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if required) Education High school diploma or equivalent (required) Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred) Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in certain states) Work Experience 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (required) 2+ years in a patient service center environment (preferred) Customer service experience in a retail or service setting (preferred) Basic keyboarding and data entry skills
