Phlebotomist III - Floater

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist III - Floater to support our client's healthcare facility in Lynchburg, VA . This is a 13+ weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Schedule: 8:30 AM-5:30 PM

Location: Lynchburg, VA 24502

Job Type: Local contract

Contract Length: 13+ weeks

Pay Range: $21 to $23/hour* + Mileage Reimbursement

• Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Perform venipuncture and collect high-quality blood specimens from patients, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Perform capillary collections when required.

• Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.

• Verify patient demographic information and initials, and obtain the required patient signature after venipuncture to confirm proper specimen labeling.

• Ensure specimen labels are accurate and applied in the patient's presence.

• Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• License(s): Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Years of experience: Minimum 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience - REQUIRED
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
