Contract Details

Pay Rate: $19.85 – $21.80/hour
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Alternate Saturdays 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Overtime / On-Call:
May include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs
Travel:
Required to support multiple Patient Service Center and in-office locations as needed
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization to patients and plays a critical role in specimen collection and patient experience. This position is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring a professional, safe, and compassionate environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
Draw blood specimens skillfully and safely, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing
Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling
Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
Maintain accurate records and required documentation
Promote a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment
Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strong customer focus
Communicate openly with patients, peers, and supervisors
Travel between assigned locations and adapt to changing schedules as business needs dictate
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
Excellent phlebotomy skills and patient interaction abilities
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Sound judgment and decision-making based on established procedures
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and professional dress code
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA; not required in NY)
3+ years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections
Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred
Keyboarding and data entry proficiency required
Training
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
