    Onsite – Patient Service Center / In-Office Phlebotomy locations

    Contract Details
    Position Type: Contract
    Contract Duration: 3 months
    Start: As Soon As Possible
    Pay Rate: $19.85 – $21.80/hour
    Schedule:
    Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    Alternate Saturdays 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    Overtime / On-Call:
    May include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs
    Travel:
    Required to support multiple Patient Service Center and in-office locations as needed

    Position Summary
    The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization to patients and plays a critical role in specimen collection and patient experience. This position is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring a professional, safe, and compassionate environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
    • Draw blood specimens skillfully and safely, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
    • Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing
    • Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling
    • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
    • Maintain accurate records and required documentation
    • Promote a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment
    • Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strong customer focus
    • Communicate openly with patients, peers, and supervisors
    • Travel between assigned locations and adapt to changing schedules as business needs dictate

    Required Skills & Qualifications
    • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
    • Excellent phlebotomy skills and patient interaction abilities
    • Strong customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
    • Sound judgment and decision-making based on established procedures
    • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
    • Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and professional dress code

    Education & Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
    • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA; not required in NY)
    • 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections
    • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
    • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred
    • Keyboarding and data entry proficiency required
