We are seeking a Photographer/Imaging Specialist to join our Communications team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan''s Purse are to help people in Jesus'' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Photographer/Imaging Specialist you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

• Travel nationally and internationally, often on short notice, to capture compelling images and stories that support time-sensitive assignments and advance the mission of Samaritan''s Purse.

• Assist the Photo Archivist with metadata management in Merlin and the organization''s digital asset management system, using Adobe software to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Document on-campus events, fulfill special photography requests from the President''s Office, and support other departments through assigned projects, studio portraits, and product photography.

• Develop innovative visual storytelling concepts through research and project planning while staying current with digital photography trends to strengthen the organization''s visual communications.

• Collaborate with the Web team, Broadcast department, writers, and fellow photographers to create impactful imagery for Samaritan''s Purse web and print platforms, engaging audiences and communicating the organization''s Christ-centered mission.

• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Associate degree (A.A.S) or Bachelor''s Degree (B.A.) from accredited University or technical school with concentration in Photography and two (2) to (4) four years if relevant photography experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of two (2) years of combined intentional photography experience strongly preferred

• Proficient in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Photo Mechanic highly desired

• Ability to adopt new software proficiencies

• Strong knowledge of photography methods, tools, equipment, and studio lighting

• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
