Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center seeks a full-time Inpatient Physical Therapist to join our acute care rehabilitation team comprised of over sixty staff members including PT’s, OT’s, SLP’s and mobility technicians. In this role the Physical Therapist will work with hospital patients after surgery, illness or injury. The selected candidate will provide physical therapy services to patients on all units and of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. At this academic, Level-I trauma center, the physical therapist will work closely with a large team of diverse providers in a collaborative, collegial work environment that fosters the best care possible for our patients.
Position Highlights:
Position is: full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8-4:30
Includes occasional, scheduled weekend shifts with associated days off during the week
Responsible for autonomous provision of physical therapy services in the acute care setting
Available ICU and Pediatric competencies for those demonstrating committed interest

Organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs.
Responsibilities:
Examines, evaluates, diagnoses, determines prognosis and provides intervention. Reports findings to other health care team members. Provides discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family teaching.
Plans therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
Participates in and supports in-service education, student programs, volunteer/observation programs, Professional Practice Committee, committees, etc.
Provides documentation, billing, and record keeping. Participates in compliance audits.
Coordinates the scheduling of patients and meetings.
Determines and implements annual plan for professional development.
Delegates tasks to support personnel.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree if graduate prior to 2002; minimum of Master's degree if graduating in 2002 or later.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Licensed PT with NH eligibility
