    Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant-- Geriatrics

    Location: SNF setting, 130 beds

    Salary Range: $31-$34 per hour

    Work Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain and maintain their physical abilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations

    - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical Therapist

    - Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patients' strength, range of motion, balance, and coordination

    - Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

    - Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home

    - Communicate regularly with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care

    - Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures

    - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

    Qualifications:

    - Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

    - Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant

    - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred

    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

    - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

    - Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
