Physical Therapist

As a school-based Physical Therapist, your days will include:

• Provide physical therapy services to students across mixed grade levels, with a greater focus on Transition-age students (ages 20-22).
• Evaluate students’ functional mobility, gross motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, positioning, and access needs within the educational environment.
• Develop and implement individualized, school-based physical therapy interventions that support students’ participation, independence, and access to educational programming.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of IEP goals and accommodations related to physical therapy services.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, families, and school teams to support student success.
• Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment, positioning, mobility supports, and environmental modifications as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, service records, and other required school-based records.

Job Details

Position: Short-Term Contract in a school setting

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Assignment Dates: ASAP - November 4, 2026

Successful Candidates Possess:

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (required)
• An active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice (required)
• Professional Educator License (PEL) is not required
• Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred due to the short-term nature of the assignment
• New graduates may be considered
