This position is ideal for an experienced therapist seeking supplemental hours, work-life balance, or an opportunity to stay engaged in patient care. The primary commitment is one weekend per month, with additional hours available based on your availability and department needs.
About the Role
As a Physical Therapist at UPMC Williamsport, you'll work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to help patients restore mobility, improve function, and regain independence. You'll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide hands-on therapy, and educate patients and families throughout the recovery process.
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and physician referrals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, function, and quality of life.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA.
- Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist (PT license or eligibility for licensure.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills.
