Position Overview
Yong Clinic is seeking a qualified and compassionate Chinese-Bilingual Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services and personalized treatment to patients with injuries, mobility limitations, and other physical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients in both Chinese and English.

Position Overview
Yong Clinic is seeking a qualified and compassionate Chinese-Bilingual Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services and personalized treatment to patients with injuries, mobility limitations, and other physical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients in both Chinese and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patients mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients conditions, goals, and rehabilitation needs.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, mobility training, and other appropriate rehabilitation interventions.
- Treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, musculoskeletal conditions, and movement-related disorders.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and functional improvements.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, posture, and safe movement techniques.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment goals, exercise instructions, and progress updates in Chinese and English.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment records, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Follow applicable clinical guidelines, patient safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Current New York State Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain the required license.
- Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English is required. Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency should align with the clinic s patient population.
- Previous experience in outpatient physical therapy or rehabilitation is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
