CGS is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team supporting the healthcare mission of a large federal agency. This position will allow candidates to demonstrate expertise in providing healthcare support tasks such as injury prevention, fitness exams, readiness reports, and rehab programs.

Job Description

You will help maximize the physical readiness and long-term health of fighter aircrew by addressing musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, particularly related to neck and back pain caused by flight demands. As a multidisciplinary team member, you will be an important part of the injury prevention, performance enhancement, and rehabilitation aspects of fighter aircrew.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct MSK Evaluations and Interventions.
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
  • Order Imaging, Labs, and Specialist consultations as needed.
  • Documentation of work performed in approved electronic record systems.
  • Educate Aircrew and leadership on injury prevention, ergonomics, and recovery strategies.
  • Comply with all DHA, DoD, and MTF protocols.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from CAPTE-accredited program.
  • 3 years experience as a PT in Collegiate, Professional, Olympic, Tactical, military, Aerospace industry, or similar environment supporting man-machine high-performance. Experience must include recency within the last 2 years.
  • Current or ability to obtain prior to start date healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Current or ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years experience as a PT in Collegiate, Professional, Olympic, Tactical, military, Aerospace industry, or similar environment supporting man-machine high-performance. Experience must include recency within the last 2 years.
  • At least one of the following:
  • ABPTS OCS or SCS certification
  • Orthopedic or Sports residency/Fellowship Trained
  • Advanced Dry Needling Certification Level 2
  • Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) Certification
