    University's Health Services (UHS)

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as a Physical Therapist for University Health Services.
    • Develops and implements individually designed planned programs of physical therapy treatments to maintain, improve/restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction based on physician referral and/or patients medical diagnosis.
    • Makes medically indicated referrals to other specialists/consultants and coordinates treatment planning with other providers.
    • Evaluates effects of treatment and adjusts to achieve maximum benefit. Instructs/educates patient in treatment procedures to be performed between visits and after discharge.
    • Documents the patient history, diagnostic findings, and treatment in the patients Electronic Medical Record.
    • Provides in-service training and consultation to student physical therapists, medical personnel, athletic trainers, and other specialty providers.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy and 2 years experience in a hospital, home health, or private office setting.
    • Current licensure to practice required by the FL DOH Division of MQA.
    • Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

    This is an OPS/temporary job.

    Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check.

    The schedule is 40 hours a week during open hours (8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday).

    This position requires pre-employment TB testing and successful completion of post hire OSHA training.
