    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

    Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.

    To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

    • Assesses the need for equipment, special devices. Ensures that equipment and supplies are adequate for department and patient care needs and utilized in a cost effective manner
    • Instructs patient/caregiver and/or family in prescribed therapeutic home program
    • Instructs patient/caregiver and family in the use of prosthetic, orthotic and assistive devices (canes, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)
    • Implements physical therapy care following a plan of care/treatment, and physician orders in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent manner following agency policy, procedures, and clinical standards
    • Performs case management activities, coordinating care by other disciplines when nursing is not involved in case management of patient
    • Practices effective problem identification and problem solving, conflict resolution skills

    Job Requirements

    Required

    • One year experience as a physical therapist
    • Physical Therapist: CA, upon hire and
    • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and (Must be through the American Heart Association)
    • Driver's License: CA, upon hire and
    • Auto Insurance, upon hire
