Physical Therapist I

Pay Rate: $40 per hour to $51 per hour

Summary:

• Shift: 22.5 hours per week / 2-5 days per week, mainly 3 days per week
• Flexible weekdays, but Saturday 8am-4:15pm is a must

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial examinations and provide physical therapy interventions to a diverse patient population
• Work under the supervision of the Therapy Manager or Professional Practice Manager
• Rotate across inpatient, outpatient, and acute services
• Establish goals, plan and implement treatment interventions, and perform timely re-examinations
• Coordinate with other disciplines as needed
• Assume responsibility for documentation requirements, including initial examinations, progress notes, monthly summaries, and discharge summaries
• Provide training to families, care partners, and medical personnel as indicated
• Recommend appropriate durable medical equipment and write letters of medical necessity when needed
• Participate in discharge planning and provide home exercise programs when appropriate
• Attend all appropriate conferences, rounds, in-services, and meetings
• Cover additional patients as dictated by staffing needs
• Maintain therapy attendance records, patient charges, and statistics
• Participate in the supervision of Rehab Patient Care Associates, volunteers, and students
• Must follow all company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• 0 + year of experience
• Current New York State Physical Therapy license
• Must be a current member of the APTA

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent oral, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills
• Intermediate MS Office Suite proficiency

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
