Clinical\n 1.1 Able to interpret physician referrals to perform basic clinical evaluations.\n 2. Educational\n 2.1 Attends department in-services.\n 3. Administration\n 3.1 Complies with Hospital and Department Policies and Procedures.\n 4. Clinical Supervision\n 4.1 Participates in regular meetings with supervisor and/or team leader and reports pertinent information on a timely basis.\n 5. Human Relations Skills\n 5.1 Demonstrates respect and regard for dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous hospital environment.\n \nQualifications\n \nEDUCATION\n \nGraduate of a CAPTE accredited program in Physical Therapy.\n \nEXPERIENCE\n \nNo experience required, but one (1) to two (2) experience in an academic medical center based practice preferred. Experience working with children and/or adults depending on the assigned setting. Clinical experience with a variety of diagnoses to include post-surgical, developmental, neurological, genetic, oncologic and traumatic\n \nLICENSURE\n \nMust maintain a current unrestricted license or temporary permit to practice as a Physical Therapist in CT\n \nSPECIAL SKILLS\n \nThe individual should demonstrate knowledge in physical therapy theory, evaluations, and treatment techniques to be applied to a diverse patient population of varying ages. Observation skills, communication skills (both verbal and written), and an ability to work with patients, families and other providers in a synergistic manner are essential. The individual should also be willing and able to assume increased responsibilities as required. Demonstrates a high level of independence and leadership in assigned clinical area. Communication and interpersonal skills must be at a level to effectively work with a broadly diverse patient population and workforce.\n \nPHYSICAL DEMAND\n \nRequires: exposure to blood and body fluids, hazardous materials and communicable diseases; long periods of standing and walking; lifting and positioning of patients.\n \nYNHHS Requisition ID\n \n169453
