Position Overview
A healthcare facility in northern New Mexico is seeking a Physical Therapist to join a collaborative and experienced rehabilitation team. This role offers a high level of professional autonomy with a supportive environment focused on patient-centered care.
The position primarily focuses on orthopedic cases with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The schedule is predominantly Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. There are no night shifts or on-call requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and ongoing assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Implement therapy programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function
- Utilize standard physical therapy techniques and therapeutic equipment
- Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff
- Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed
- Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapist license in New Mexico
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field
- Experience in orthopedic, inpatient, and outpatient settings
