This Physical Therapist role is based in Margate, FL at a 289-bed medical center holding the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval, Joint Commission certification as a Primary Stroke Center, accreditation as a Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology, and recognition as a Comprehensive Bariatric Center of Excellence.
The role. The Physical Therapist conducts evaluations and delivers treatment interventions within the scope of practice defined by law and professional code of ethics. Core responsibilities include assessing and evaluating therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status to contribute to each patient's total plan of care, and providing skilled, purposeful therapeutic care using techniques designed to produce measurable changes in condition and function consistent with the physician's plan. The therapist instructs patients, family members, and caregivers in exercises, therapeutic appliances, and prosthetic devices for use outside of formal therapy sessions. Additional responsibilities include prioritizing caseload, determining daily staffing needs, and coordinating assignments and handoffs across the team.
What we're looking for.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Active Physical Therapist license (Florida)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule. Full-time, day shift with rotating weekends.
