    Responsibilities:

    Physical Therapist are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education and prescribed movement. Our Physical therapist work as a  

    team with physical therapy assistants to treat people of all ages and abilities. 

    In this position with Presbyterian’s Outpatient rehabilitation department gives clinicians the opportunity to treat a variety of patients and the ability to work with a group of therapist that have a range in specialties. The Outpatient rehabilitation team is collaborative and patient-focused.     Additional Job Duties:

    • Evaluates patients, develops plans and goals, and implements treatment programs for improvement of physical or developmental dysfunction and independence in activities of daily living.
    • Continuously reassesses treatment plans and goals.
    • Educates and instructs regarding home programs and preventive measures as appropriate to patient, family, and others.
    • Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department in a timely manner.
    • Communicates with patient, family, physician, and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.
    • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
    • Participates in educational programs and inservices and other meetings as required. Participates on special project teams and other related duties as assigned and requested 

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.
    • NM License of Physical Therapy required.
    • BLS required at time of hire.
