    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Physical Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The PT supervises therapy assistants, aides and students.     What you will do in this role:  

    • You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient. 
    • You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services. 
    • You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes. 
    • You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs. 
    • You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues. 

    What Qualification You Will Need: 

    • Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy / Master’s degree preferred. 
    • Current State professional license or license eligible.  
    • Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required.  
    • Word processing skills preferred. 
    • Basic Cardiac Life Saving (BCLS) – American Heart Assoc. 
    • New grads accepted.  
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; Diagnostic skills consistent with professional degree 
    • Proficient with computer software programs.  
    • Proficient with patient care related equipment

We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center.
