About the Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join a respected healthcare team in the beautiful Palm Springs area.
In this role, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, restore function, and enhance quality of life. You'll collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on their clinical needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Provide effective, evidence-based physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and establish appropriate discharge recommendations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, rehabilitation goals, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional patient documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment records, and discharge summaries.
- Appropriately delegate treatment activities to qualified support staff.
- Mentor and provide clinical guidance to new employees and student interns as assigned.
- Maintain treatment equipment, supplies, and patient care areas.
- Participate in departmental programs, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and the California Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an appropriate educational program.
- Current California Physical Therapist License.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Successful completion of required physical therapy curriculum and clinical internship.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy treatment techniques, modalities, and rehabilitation protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage patient caseloads, and maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred:
- Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Previous experience in physical therapy or a healthcare setting.
