Position: Physical Therapist – Part-Time
Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center – Physical Therapy Department, Med-Mall
Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours/week | Flexible shifts Monday–Thursday (7:00 AM–6:00 PM) and Friday (7:00 AM–4:30 PM)
Salary: $36.53 – $67.90/hour

Position Summary
As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, treat, and educate patients with disabilities, injuries, pain, disease, or dysfunction. Using evidence-based methods, you will develop personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their maximum functional potential. Your work will directly impact patients’ quality of life and ability to participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care following physician-prescribed physical therapy programs.
Evaluate patients, establish treatment goals, and develop effective treatment plans.
Provide age-appropriate physical therapy interventions for a wide range of patients.
Prioritize caseloads and manage treatment schedules efficiently.
Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and consult with physicians when necessary.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and home exercise programs.
Document patient progress accurately for medical records, insurance, and continuity of care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospital staff to ensure quality, cost-effective care.
Education & Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
Preferred: Master’s or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.

Working Conditions
Manual dexterity required for patient care and therapeutic procedures.
Exposure to occupational risks, including dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
Physical demands include lifting and exerting up to 50 lbs. regularly.
