Physical Therapist (Part-time) - School Based

A mental health services network in New York City has a great Part-time opportunity awaiting a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). As part of their school-based program, the Physical Therapist (PT) will provide therapeutic services to students based on their individual needs and IEP requirements.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Flexible scheduling across at least 2 days
• Hours: Between 8:30am and 2:40pm
• Setting: School-based, primarily children ages 3-5
• Assignment: Ongoing contract with potential for additional hours as enrollment increases

Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and gross motor skills
• Teach adaptive skills to support students' daily activities and functional independence
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other clinical staff to support students' developmental needs
• Document therapy sessions, monitor student progress, and maintain records in accordance with program requirements
• Make recommendations for adaptive equipment and modifications as needed
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
• Current NYS Physical Therapist (PT) license

Desired Skills:

• 1+ year of prior experience as a Physical Therapist
• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
• Experience working with preschool-aged children or in a school-based setting
