Job Summary:

At Rady Children's Health - San Diego, our Physical Therapists play a vital role in helping patients achieve their highest level of function and independence. Using these findings, the therapist develops and implements individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and home exercise programs designed to maximize functional outcomes. In addition to providing patient and family education, the therapist collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Accurate documentation of clinical findings and progress is essential to support continuity of care and uphold the highest standards of practice.

To support professional growth and recognize contributions beyond direct patient care, Rady Children's offers a Clinical Ladder program with Physical Therapist levels II and III. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for advanced roles will have the opportunity to discuss eligibility with department leadership during the interview process.

Minimum Qualifications:

As San Diego has grown, so has our commitment to offering comprehensive care to our community's children. We are the county's only hospital dedicated solely to pediatrics and the region's designated pediatric trauma center. Parents and children come to Rady Children's from across the country to see our nationally renowned physicians. And our focus on research and innovation is helping our patients to receive state-of-the-art care. We believe equally in keeping children well. Through our Center for Healthier Communities and the Chadwick Center for Children and Families, we strive to offer families the promise of a healthier future. And we continue to grow, our new Acute Care Pavilion will help ensure that we will never turn a child away for lack of space.
