Title: Physical Therapist Reports To: Director of Special Services
Position Summary: Provides physical therapy services as determined by the individual education plan (IEP) for each student.
Pay Column: The certified salary schedule is followed with consideration given for experience and training at the discretion of the Associate Superintendent of Personnel.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. Subject to both inside and outside (playground duty) conditions.
Position Qualification Requirements:
Education: Broad knowledge of a discipline such as physical therapy, involving the use of broad theoretical knowledge equivalent to complete college or university education.
Experience: Requires a minimum of one year up to and including three years of experience in physical therapy.
Skills and Abilities: These may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position. Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Perform the operations with like common and decimal fractions. Compute ration, rate, and percent. Perform reading, writing, and speaking at an intermediate level. Must continuously work to upgrade own professional knowledge and technical skills. Must express positive, effective "people skills".
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: May be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position: Computer and related software, "suspended equipment" such as swings.
License (s)/ Certification (s) Required: Registration with the American Physical Therapy Association. Licensed Physical Therapist by State of Missouri.
