Travel Gross Weekly: $1,800–$2,000/week (based on experience) Local Rate: $48–$52/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse patient population in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This is an entry-level opportunity within a multidisciplinary team, with potential exposure to inpatient, outpatient, and acute care services.
Schedule Note: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. Occasional weekend coverage may be available; when weekend coverage is required, a weekday off will be provided.
Required: Inpatient Rehabilitation experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform initial physical therapy evaluations and examinations.
Establish appropriate treatment goals and develop individualized plans of care.
Implement treatment interventions and conduct timely re-evaluations.
Modify treatment goals and interventions based on patient progress and clinical needs.
Coordinate patient care with other healthcare disciplines as appropriate.
Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timelines, including initial evaluations, progress notes, monthly summaries, and discharge summaries.
Provide education and training to patients, families, caregivers, and personnel as appropriate.
Recommend appropriate durable medical equipment (DME) in coordination with relevant team members.
Prepare letters of medical necessity when required.
Participate in discharge planning and make recommendations for continued physical therapy services.
Develop and provide home exercise programs when appropriate.
Attend required conferences, patient rounds, in-services, clinics, and team meetings.
Assume additional patient assignments when coverage is required based on staffing needs.
Maintain accurate therapy attendance records, patient charges, and statistical information.
Participate in the supervision and guidance of rehabilitation patient care associates, volunteers, and students.
Follow all applicable organizational policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Maintain active membership with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Required Qualifications
0–1 year of professional experience
Inpatient Rehabilitation experience required
Current New York State Physical Therapy License
Excellent oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred
