Title
Physical Therapist - Acute Care
Schedule
Shift: 10-hour days
Weekend requirement: Minimum 2 weekends/month
Assignment Details
Caseload: ~10 patients/day
Orientation: 40 hours
Requirements
- 3 years of experience required; 1 year minimum accepted with prior confirmation.
- Required certifications: BLS and valid state license.
- Experience in acute care PT, post-stroke rehabilitation, ortho post-op care, and basic cardiopulmonary monitoring.
- Proficiency in using assistive devices and ADL training.
- Experience with documentation in Epic is preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to patients in an acute care setting.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation plans for patients recovering from surgery and neurological conditions.
- Conduct assessments to determine patient mobility levels and progress in therapy.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and mobility goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Compliance / Notes
- Submittal requirements include SSN and DOB.
- One pre-approved time off request allowed during a 13-week contract.
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 specified holidays.
- A background check and required certifications must be validated prior to starting.
