Hours | Schedule:

  • 40 Hours per week, Full-Time

  • Day Shift, 9:30am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday

  • Weekend Coverage: Colleague will work one weekend every four weeks

  • Holiday Coverage: Colleague will work two holidays per calendar year

  • This position is based in the House Rehab Services department in Muskegon, MI and does provide physical therapy services on an as-needed basis at Shelby Hospital in Shelby, MI.

Position Purpose:

The physical therapist will assume autonomous responsibility for evaluating patient's need for physical therapy.

What the Physical Therapist ( PT ) Will Do:

  • Providing treatment and services within the scope of their license, certification or registration and as required by law and regulation.

  • Evaluation and clinical diagnosis of patient conditions.

  • Establish treatment goals utilizing input from patient and their family as appropriate Documentation remains in accordance with established internal/external timeliness standards, insurance standards, and reimbursement guidelines.

  • Participates as a part of an interdisciplinary and patient-centered care team which includes the verbal and written exchange of information with other healthcare team members as it pertains to integrate a physical therapy treatment plan

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of a Doctorate's or previously equivalent professional Physical Therapy training program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.

  • Required: Bachelor's in Physical Therapy

  • FSBPT Certification.

  • State of Michigan Physical Therapist License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date.

  • American Heart Association BLS or equivalent
