Schedule: Day Shift | 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | 40 Hours Guaranteed
Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital setting in Redding, CA.
This role involves working within a multidisciplinary rehab team (PT, OT, Speech) to provide high-quality therapy services to a diverse inpatient population. The therapist will focus on improving mobility, restoring function, and supporting recovery across various medical and surgical conditions.
The position offers a structured 4x10 schedule with exposure to a wide range of acute care cases in a well-supported clinical environment.

Clinical Coverage Areas
Therapists will provide care for:

Cardiac and post-cardiac surgery patients

Stroke and neurological conditions (stroke-certified facility)

Orthopedic and post-surgical rehabilitation
-
ICU and medical-surgical patients
-
General mobility and functional impairments
-
Limited exposure to pediatrics (not required)
Key Responsibilities
-
Perform patient evaluations and functional mobility assessments
-
Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
-
Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual therapy
-
Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and mobility progression
-
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed

Maintain accurate and compliant documentation using Cerner
-
Educate patients and caregivers on recovery and home programs
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience
At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
Active California PT License
BLS Certification (AHA)
COVID vaccination required
First-time travelers accepted

Experience in stroke-certified or trauma centers

ICU and medical-surgical rehabilitation experience

Scheduling & Assignment Details

40 hours guaranteed per week

4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Every other weekend (EOW) required
