Position Highlights
- Schedule: 2 hours/week, following the district academic calendar.
- Pay:$50/hr
- Contract: Full school year (2025–2026)
- Caseload: Varies by location — we’ll match you with a classroom that fits your expertise and preferences.
- Start: ASAP or start of the school year.
Physical Therapist (PT) Job Duties:
- Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
- Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
- Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
- Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Physical Therapist (PT) Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must possess a valid Illinois License for Physical Therapy.
- 1+ years of relevant experience; experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
- BLS/CPR Cert.
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
