Position Title: Physical Therapists Location: Staten Island, NY 10305 Duration: 2 years Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 10am-2pm Pay rate: 60$/hr.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assess patients' mobility, balance, strength, gait, and functional abilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve physical function, safety, and independence.
Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, fall prevention, pain management, and functional rehabilitation services.
Monitor patient progress, update treatment goals, and adjust interventions as needed.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Ensure a safe therapeutic environment and adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution and completion of an approved clinical internship or residency program.
Current and unrestricted New York State Physical Therapist license and BLS certification.
Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in psychiatric, behavioral health, or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
Experience treating patients with severe mental illness, cognitive impairments, substance use disorders, neurological conditions, and other complex medical comorbidities.
Strong skills in physical therapy evaluations, treatment planning, functional mobility, gait and balance assessment, fall prevention, therapeutic exercise, and pain management.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavioral de-escalation techniques, and the impact of psychopharmacological medications on physical function.
Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams and collaborating on treatment and discharge planning.
Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and patient engagement skills, with proficiency in EHR systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced psychiatric setting while delivering patient-centered, recovery-oriented care.
