Job Summary


Be the on-floor teammate who keeps every therapy session safe, efficient, and motivating. You’ll stage equipment, guide patients through therapist-prescribed exercises and drills, document progress in the EMR, and keep the treatment area spotless. Expect hands-on coaching, real-time therapist support, and cross-training that positions you perfectly for the next step in your rehab career.


Key Responsibilities

• Session Prep & Flow – sanitize tables, gather bands/weights/balance gear, manage supply inventory 
• Exercise Coaching – cue posture, count reps, encourage patients through PT plans 
• Patient Assistance – guard gait; help with walkers, canes, wheelchairs, transfers 
• Data & Docs – record vitals, pain scores, and progress notes in NextGen (training provided) 
• Modalities & Support – set up heat/ice/e-stim; cover front desk or escort patients to imaging when needed 
• Compliance & Safety – uphold OSHA/DOH infection-control and equipment-maintenance standards 

Qualifications

•  High-school diploma (college coursework in kinesiology/exercise science a plus) 
•  Prior outpatient rehab, fitness, or athletic-training experience preferred 
•  Energetic communicator who can motivate nervous or deconditioned patients 
•  Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and thrive in a fast-moving schedule 
•  Basic computer skills; EMR exposure a plus
