Job description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This position offers a consistent schedule M-F 30 Hours Guaranteed and the opportunity to work with a collaborative rehabilitation team dedicated to improving the lives of adult and geriatric patients.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will provide direct patient care under the clinical supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), implementing individualized treatment plans designed to maximize each patient's mobility, functional independence, and overall quality of life.

Position Details

  • Schedule Options: 30 Hours Guaranteed (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients in improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
  • Accurately document patient treatments and progress.
  • Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies and all applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant License (PTA/LPTA) required.
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • New graduates and experienced Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants (LPTAs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, or Post-Acute Care is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
