Position Overview

The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan in a collaborative family practice environment. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, self-motivated clinician who thrives in an independent practice setting while working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
  • Perform physical examinations and comprehensive patient assessments
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with California laws and organizational protocols
  • Provide preventive healthcare, wellness counseling, and patient education
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Accurately document patient encounters within the electronic medical record
  • Maintain compliance with all organizational policies and state and federal regulations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care programs
  • Promote a positive, patient-focused healthcare experience

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted California Physician Assistant (PA) License
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Current, unrestricted DEA registration for California with prescriptive authority
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Minimum of two years of Physician Assistant experience
  • Family Practice or Primary Care experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the healthcare team
  • Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
