Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Quality Urgent Care is looking for 1 Part-Time Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The Physician Assistant and/or NP will provide medical services to patients.

Experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant Needed For Part-Time Position. Quick Hire.  12 hr shifts during the week and 2 weekend shifts coverage needed. 2 years Urgent Care experience required. Local Candidates Preferred. Experience With ECW EMR A Big Plus. Must Be Proficient With Procedures Like Suturing, I&D etc. & Basic EKG & X-Ray Interpretation Skills. (X-Ray Over-Read by Radiologist Is Available). Must Be Able To See Patients & Finish Charting In A Timely Manner. No hospital work. No calls.

Must have Active FL Medical License, DEA, Active Medicare & Clean Malpractice History. Medicaid Number & DOT certification Are Preferred. Great Patient Care & Ability To Be Calm & Competent Team Leader Is A Must.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide patient-care services– Examine patients, verify all medical history and chart notes.  Make preliminary diagnosis regarding any follow-up procedures needed. Order diagnostic tests as required. Create and maintain patient-care plans, while instructing and guiding patients on progress. Prescribe medication as needed under the direction of a physician.
• Perform supportive procedures –  Perform procedures such as immunizations, injections, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
• Other duties: – Educate patients regarding diet, family planning, emotional problems, and health maintenance. Act as the backup to the physician when emergency treatments or complex procedures come up. Display professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment.

Requirements: 

• High school diploma and a graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with state accreditation based on certifying exam or Nurse Practitioner License.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment
• Previous clinical experience is preferred
• Must have FL medical License
• Must Be Able To Interview In Person And Start Quickly. Malpractice Insurance covered under our policy. Parking provided.
