    Job Description

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled and passionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Surgical Services team as a Surgical First Assist!

Are you an experienced surgical APP who thrives in the operating room? Join a collaborative, physician-led hospital where your expertise matters, your contributions are valued, and you can make a meaningful difference in patients' lives every day.

Our hospital features 12 operating rooms, 3 procedure rooms, and 28 inpatient beds. We perform surgeries across a variety of specialties, including Orthopedics, Spine, Gynecology, ENT, Digestive, Bariatric, and General Surgery. • Current Idaho NP or PA licensure, as applicable, and appropriate national certification.
    • Eligibility for medical staff credentialing and surgical first-assist privileges at Northwest Specialty Hospital.
    • Current BLS certification; ACLS certification as required for the position.
    • Prior operating room experience and demonstrated proficiency in surgical first assisting strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical anatomy, patient safety, and perioperative practices.
    • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons and the entire surgical team.
