Join a busy orthopedic team providing exceptional patient care in both the outpatient clinic and hospital setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant with a strong orthopedic surgery background.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided injections.
• Conduct initial and follow-up patient evaluations.
• Perform joint aspirations and injections.
• Participate in daily morning rounds.
• Apply casts and splints.
• Order and interpret X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
• Coordinate physical and occupational therapy services.
• Document patient encounters using EPIC/EMR.
• Respond to patient calls and assist with ongoing patient care.
• Write post-operative orders and dictate discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery.
• Perform wound closures and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active New York State Physician Assistant License required.
• Minimum 2 years of Orthopedic Surgery or Musculoskeletal experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of surgical assisting and/or Operating Room experience required.
• Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
