Position Summary
White Plains Hospital is a rapidly growing healthcare organization dedicated to expanding access to exceptional, patient-centered care throughout our community. As our nationally recognized Orthopedic Program continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team of Orthopedic Surgeons, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) specialists.
This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a dynamic orthopedic setting with responsibilities spanning both the outpatient clinic and the operating room. The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including patient evaluations, treatment planning, fracture and musculoskeletal injury management, preoperative and postoperative care, interpretation of diagnostic studies, patient education, and coordination of care across the continuum. In the operating room, the PA will serve as a first assist on a wide variety of orthopedic procedures while working closely with experienced orthopedic surgeons.
One of the distinguishing features of this role is the high level of autonomy and professional development it offers. Physician Assistants are supported through APP-directed education, strong mentorship, and a collaborative practice environment that fosters close working relationships with orthopedic surgeons. As experience and competency grow, PAs can develop and manage their own panel of patients with appropriate physician supervision and support.
This position is ideal for experienced orthopedic Physician Assistants or PAs from other specialties who have a strong interest in building a career in orthopedics. White Plains Hospital is committed to professional growth, clinical excellence, and providing the resources necessary for our advanced practice providers to thrive. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package are offered.
