About the Role:Oakwayne Medical Center is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our growing healthcare team in Westland, MI. Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and EKGs
- Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions as appropriate
- Provide patient education on disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Accurately document clinical encounters and maintain up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
Requirements:- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
- Active Michigan state PA license or ability to obtain prior to start date
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Previous clinical experience in a primary care, urgent care, or hospital setting preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset
