Job Details:

• Provide cardiovascular anesthesiology locum coverage for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases
• 
  
• TEE certification required; cardiac anesthesiology fellowship required
• 
  
• Assist with general OR cases in addition to cardiac cases as needed
• 
  
• Adult and geriatric patients only; no pediatric care required
• 
  
• Cases are hands-on with occasional CRNA supervision
• 
  
• Facility performs 360 450 cardiac cases per year with 2 cardiac surgeons on staff
• 
  
• Unrestricted overnight call and weekend call required; Monday through Friday 8 10 hour days
• 
  
• Urgent coverage needed November 23 November 29 (site will consider more than one provider to fill the block)
• 
  
• Must be Board Certified in general anesthesia
• 
  
• Must have completed an approved ACGME or international equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship and achieved at least testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)
• 
  
• If fellowship-trained applicants are not available, candidate must have at least five years of documented CV anesthesia experience with letters of recommendation from both anesthesiologists and CV surgeons, and achieved testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography as defined by NBE
• 
  
• Nebraska license highly preferred or IMLC accepted
• 
  
• Clean malpractice and background highly preferred
• 
  
• EMR: EPIC

Facility:

This facility is a 187-bed Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical Center featuring 15 operating rooms in the main OR, 3 endoscopy suites, 2 EP labs, TEE and invasive/non-invasive cardiology capabilities, Neuro IR, bronchoscopy, MRI lines, and obstetrics services. The facility provides a comprehensive, high-acuity environment supporting a wide range of complex surgical and cardiac procedures.
