Job Details:

• Seeking locum physicians to cover nights, weekends, and holidays in the emergency department
• 
  
• Day shifts are also accepted, but the primary need is for night, weekend, and holiday coverage
• 
  
• Providers must share their availability through 2026 when submitting
• 
  
• Must be emergency medicine residency trained and board certified (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine not accepted)
• 
  
• Perform standard emergency medicine procedures including central lines and intubations
• 
  
• Patient volume approximately 40,000 per year with 20-25 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• Level 3 Trauma designation facility with 17 beds in the emergency department
• 
  
• Admission rate of approximately 15%
• 
  
• EMR system is EPIC
• 
  
• Consultant support available including cardiology, nephrology, surgery, podiatry, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, tele-neurology, and hospitalists
• 
  
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• 
  
• 8-10 shifts per month with day and night availability needed
• 
  
• Available shift times include: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and 4:00 PM - 3:00 AM
• 
  
• Open shift dates include coverage needs through December and into the new year across multiple dates

This healthcare facility is a full-service hospital offering emergency medicine services with a Level 3 Trauma designation. The emergency department operates around the clock with robust specialist support and modern technology, utilizing EPIC as its electronic medical records system. The facility maintains a strong focus on emergency care with access to key support services including general surgery, radiology, laboratory, and anesthesia available 24 hours a day.
