Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Gastroenterology General Hospitalist position providing call coverage support
• 
  
• 6-month contract with day shifts and night call coverage
• 
  
• Typical arrangement consists of 8-hour shifts with call-back coverage; 7 on and 7 off schedule, with some providers electing two consecutive weeks
• 
  
• Night coverage may be part of the arrangement, though most cases are held until the following morning when possible
• 
  
• Support staff includes 9 APPs and several RNs, along with LPNs and MAs across 3 GI locations
• 
  
• Two APPs trained in advanced GI perform preliminary patient evaluations prior to scheduling with the advanced physician
• 
  
• Patient population is adults 18 and older, with an average patient age of 58
• 
  
• EMR system: Cerner
• 
  
• Board Certification required
• 
  
• Active state license required; IMLC candidates or those qualifying for WV temporary license will be considered
• 
  
• DEA required
• 
  
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
